View In and Out [Entos/Ektos] is an ongoing project during which students and recent graduates of Athens School of Fine Arts –from the Departments of Fine Art and Art Theory and History– present their artworks successively in an unoccupied store at Constantopoulou Megaron, inside the Αrcade of 44 Panepistimiou St.
The participants are invited to create artworks inspired by this space, which is located at a city spot at the boundaries between the private and the public. At a vital public space in Athens, inside a protected showcase, but out of a conventional exhibition space, in the urban microcosm of an arcade and by the central network of the city, the artists aim for an interactive relationship between the artwork and its audience, pursue the public gaze and activate the dialogue with the city’s history and images, as well as with the constantly changing public sphere.
