Jussi Koitela is going to present his ongoing project Skills of Economy and discuss the challenges of using artistic research methodologies to address economic questions. Skills of Economy is a curatorial concept dealing with contemporary artists’ actions towards the current economic situation and the entire concept of economy as a whole. Economy and economical rhetorics have filled up media space in the western world. Economy has become the most important way of describing the world and it’s progress. Jussi Koitela is a curator and a visual artist currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His long term curatorial research project Skills of Economy address artistic reactions to economic discourses and structures.
