asfaBBQ 2 is organizing the workshop "UTOPIC Interventions" with the performance group from Estonia NON GRATA!

Al Paldrok (ES)
Kaspar Rabby (ES)
Oliver Rull (ES)
Hannes Paldrok (ES)
Mara Catalan (US)

Around the name NON GRATA there have been different hushes and shushes for a long time. The main point of the group is ethical - it is the image of primitivism, impersonality and experimental creativity. The performances of the group take place according to the logic of avoiding codes. The presentations are physical texts, whose ways of orthography and reading are kept within limits of real actions by the group members. Aesthetic and provocative challenges are represented in places, where the Art World doesn't work.
With more than 500 members during the last 15 years from all over the world, the main characteristics of NON GRATA are anonymity in group work, ignorance of the local art world and mass media. Performing in Asia, Europe, South and North America with street actions, chaotic space and context specific performances and long lasting ghetto marathons...and they are still going.

The group will hold a workshop at the Athens School of Fine Art the 1st and the 2th of June around the theme of Utopia and they will present with the participants a performance the 3th of June.

The workshop will be held in Englsih.
The participation fee is 15 euros per person. Registration is required. Please send us a message and a short CV in the asfabarbecue@gmail.com.
The workshop is open to all.
